Description
Kaperfahrt is an open-Caribbean pirate sandbox built by a single developer. Every ship the player boards joins their fleet and sails under their flag, up to four fighting at their side in formation. The economy is fully reactive, blockading a harbor drains its stores and drives prices up until the markets remember who did it. A Blacklist of 23 infamous captains roams the map with agendas of their own, five houses struggle for power, and dynamic weather decides how brave anyone sails.
The story behind it
Kleinod is a one-person studio from Germany with a simple mission, rebuilding the forgotten classics of a childhood that never got successors. Kaperfahrt is the first of them, the answer to a pirate sandbox from 2004 that defined a genre and was then left alone for twenty years.
